Camping in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park
We just got back from Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park in Northern CA. We spent four days and three nights camping in the Redwoods.
Crossing the Smith River to get to Stout Grove.
Wrapping the family around "Luna"
Ben striking a pose on a fallen tree.
Skipping rocks in the Smith River.
Playing in the water.
In front of the Crescent City Lighthouse about 10 miles from Jed Smith.
Checking out a star fish during low tide.
Plenty of snails and crabs too.
Did I mention the star fish? They were everywhere.
Taking a quiet moment to relax.
Tide pooling with Antie Lin.
Walking up the lighthouse.
Taking a breather after the tour.
Checking out the rocks.
That's Sue in the Kayak and me (Rob) peeking over the edge.
Cece looking for "squishies" (small frogs) along the bank of the Smith.
Evie relaxing in a kayak.
The squishy hunt was successful.
The park ranger asked Cecilia to help light the fire at the nightly campfire program.
The older three all earned Jr. Ranger badges.
Adam high above the rest of the kids (And Ally)
And these are some of the smaller ones.
Hanging out...
Posing on a root structure.
Resting on a log.
The whole family in front of the lighthouse.
Those squishes were everywhere.
Another tree to climb.
Tall - but not the tallest.
Huddled inside a trunk cavity with Uncle Paul.
