We have Pipes

We are hopping to get the cement poured by Fri. Until then, pipes are a nice change of scenery.

Fair Ground Fireworks

We went to the state fair grounds to watch the fireworks. We brought along Ben's good friend Larry. The kids had a great time! There were fire trucks and police cars that they got to explore. Then they got to go down the inflatable slides. The display at night did not rival Pelican Lake though. Rob and I were both surprised that a massive city like Raleigh couldn't put on a better show then the lake council!

Sparkelers

Even though we are renting for the summer, the kids still wanted to have the tradition of spakerlers on the 4th. Snappys and sparkerler were about all we could do anyway. we had a great time running around the back yard with them!

4th Parade in Apex

On the 4th we went to the City Parade in Apex. It was alot of fun! Ben Won the Cake walk!! so we all got to have a snack while we watched the parade.

Kelly Clarkson Concert

Cecilia and I (Sue) went to the Kelly Clarkson Concert on Monday night. It was great! She sounded good, and sang all of Cecilia's favorites. Thankfully we had good weather for it. It was really warm, but it didn't rain.

Pool Time!

As the summer has gotten hotter with each day, the kids are spending alot of time in our pool.

A day at Myrtle Beach

We brought the kids down to Myrtle Beach for a day of surf and sun. The kids got into boogie boarding and jumping the surf. The beach was not as crowded as we feared it would be for the first Saturday of the 4th of July weekend but the traffic getting in was a bit of a pain.
